Silex element attaches great importance to the safety and well-being of all. This is why it is crucial to go through this section carefully to ensure optimal handling and use of the product.

Wearing protective equipment (at all times): Before handling Silex element panels, be sure to wear the appropriate protective equipment, such as safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves and an N95-type respirator to protect you from the dust generated during cutting and installation.

Preparing the Substrate Surface: Before installing the panels, prepare the substrate surface ensuring that it is flat, clean, dry and free of dust. This will ensure better adhesive bond and secure installation.

Adequate Ventilation: When cutting panels, do so in a well-ventilated area to prevent dust accumulation. Use protective equipment and be sure to maintain adequate air circulation.

Careful handling: Handle the panels with care to avoid any risk of injury. Avoid pressing the panels excessively so as not to damage them during installation.

Use of appropriate equipment: When cutting the panels, use appropriate tools such as a wet saw, an angle grinder or a circular saw with a diamond blade. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for safe use of these tools.

Cleaning: After installation and cutting, clean the area thoroughly to remove any dust or debris. Use a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter to capture fine dust particles.

Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of waste generated during panel cutting and installation. Follow local regulations regarding disposal of building materials.

First aid

Skin or Eye Contact:  In case of skin contact, wash affected area immediately with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a healthcare practitioner  .

Dust Inhalation: If you inhale dust, move to a well-ventilated area and breathe fresh air. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare practitioner  .

Cuts or wounds: If cuts or injuries occur during handling or cutting, clean the wound and apply a clean dressing. If injury is severe, seek medical attention immediately  .

Allergic reaction: If you experience an allergic reaction such as itching, redness, or rash, discontinue exposure immediately and consult a healthcare practitioner  .

By following these precautions before, during and after installing and cutting Silex element panels, you will help ensure your safety and well-being throughout the process. In case of doubt, concern or if a problem persists, do not hesitate to consult a healthcare professional.
